HOUSTON – Authorities say the bodies of five people have been found on a property in Houston and the remains of three young children are among them.

Police Lieutenant Dan Harris says a neighbour discovered the bodies this afternoon. The neighbour saw the body of a man on the porch next to a .22-calibre rifle.

Harris says the bodies of a woman and a boy about age nine were found in a shack on the property. The bodies of a boy about five and a girl about four were found in another shack.

Police are declining to speculate on the cause of death. They say there were no obvious signs of a struggle.
