JURY POLL
MIKE'S HAVING A BALL FOR CHARITY! (Click for details)
DATE: Aug 31, 03:29 PM

Justice reporter Mike McIntyre is caught between a proverbial rock and a hard place – in this case second base and Toronto Maple Leafs forward Alexander Steen.
It was all for a good cause Thursday at Winnipeg’s CanWest Global Park when a team of media “all-stars” took on past and present NHL players during the Amadeus Steen Foundation Charity Slo-Pitch game,
Somehow, the media hacks pulled out a 13-11 upset victory against a team that also included:
-Thomas Steen (former Winnipeg Jet)
-Dave Babych (former Winnipeg Jet)
-Dave Ellett (former Winnipeg Jet)
-Neil Wilkinson (former Winnipeg Jet)
-Mike Keane (Manitoba Moose)
-Jason Jaffrey (Manitoba Moose)
-Dustin Boyd (Calgary Flames)
-Colton Orr (New York Rangers)
-Ian White (Toronto Maple Leafs)
Ulf Nilsson and Anders Hedberg were also in the ballpark to participate in a group autograph signing with hundreds of fans after the game.
All proceeds go to Winnipeg’s Children’s Hospital.
