DATE: Mar 11, 09:22 AM

SASKATOON – A Saskatchewan man is accused of uttering threats against Prime Minister Stephen Harper and the province’s premier, Brad Wall, over the telephone.
RCMP say 68-year-old Donald Lorenz of Allan, Sask., is also charged with threatening Elwin Hermanson, chief commissioner of the Canadian Grain Commission.
Police say Lorenz appeared in provincial court in Saskatoon on Wednesday and was remanded in custody.
They say threats against the three men began last June and the most recent call took place on Feb. 14.
There was no direct contact between the accused and any of the victims.
Lorenz is expected back in court Monday.
