RCMP investigate kidnapping, sex assault on girl, 6, in The Pas

Members of the RCMP in The Pas are investigating a sexual assault to a six-year-old girl.
This morning at 9 a.m., the girl was walking to school when a 17-year-old male abducted her and took her to a residence, where he sexually assaulted her.
The girlwas able to flee the premises and reported the incident to her mother, who notified RCMP.
The girl has been transported to Health Sciences Centre for medical examination.
The male faces charges of kidnapping and sexual assault. He is currently in police custody.
No court date has been announced.
