Toronto man charged after uttering threats on tour bus headed to Niagara Falls
DATE: Feb 8, 05:56 PM

TORONTO – A man has been charged over allegations that he threatened a group of people on a tour bus en route to Niagara Falls.
Provincial police say they were called after reports of an assault on a tour bus travelling from Toronto to the popular tourist destination on Wednesday evening.
Police say a passenger on the bus lit a cigarette, and other people became upset and told the man smoking wasn’t allowed on the bus.
According to police, the man started arguing with people and threatened to shoot and kill two of the passengers, who happened to be off duty police officers.
Police say the bus pulled over in Mississauga until officers arrived, but the man continued to be uncooperative, attempting to bite the off duty officers.
A suspect, Jason Montour, 41, of Toronto has been charged with uttering a threat to cause death, assault, and resisting arrest.
